Re: Torrents get deleted
Ahh, you were doing so well until you took on your "I'll take my ball and go home" attitude and adding in a possibly libelous statement to boot. You got two posts, both trying to search out clues for you. It sometimes takes many pages for someone to ask just the right question that leads t...

Re: Search engine not available
The only potential problem I see is that Python 3.7 is also outdated already. Wouldn't it be better to install 3.12, the currently active Python, and not have to worry about it for a few years?

Re: Qbittorrent 4.6.0 takes a long time to shut down
The best that I could come up with based on a short amount of research is: Toshiba HDWE150 CMR WD 1230 SMR Seagate ST4000DM000 CMR WD Elements 25A3 SMR Others that are listed are just USB devices and so I'm not sure what actual HDDs they are using. Anyway, some of the drives listed are SMR and co...

Re: Qbittorrent 4.6.0 takes a long time to shut down
What brand/model of hard drives are you using? It sounds like they are using SMR technology. More space, less reliable.

4.6.0 RSS Documentation
Can someone please tell me the meaning behind these new (or I think they are) 4.6.0 RSS Downloader Rules options? I searched all over and I can not find the documentation for this section of Qbittorrent. Also, everything starts out as Default; where can I find out what the default settings are? http...

Re: Upload problems, What am I missing
Your screenshot shows 11.5 MiB/s, not 11.5 Mib/s. Big difference. Roughly 8X more.
11.5 MiB/s = 12.05862 MB/s
Internet companies measure speed in Mb/s
12.05862 MB/s = 101.155 Mb/s
You are actually uploading at slightly over your promised 100 Mb/s.
No need to complain.

Re: Concerns between qBittorrent & GreedyTorrent
You ARE doing something wrong. You are committing fraud. That program is somehow fooling the tracker into giving your account more upload credit than it deserves and you are aware of that because you say you will be banned if it didn't. I guess the proverb "There is no honor among thieves"...

Re: Concerns between qBittorrent & GreedyTorrent
You are nuts to use that. You should be happy that you can't get it to work. It's hard enough to get on desirable private trackers and you want to throw it all away by falsifying your upload ratio? BitTorrent site operators aren't stupid, you'll be banned in a very short time.

Re: Can't Quit Properly/End Task + 100% Disk Usage + Shutting Down issue.
The issue is CMR vs. SMR. It's very easy to look up the specs if you know the model number. If he buys a name brand CMR drive I think most people would be willing to guarantee that it will be better than the one he has for what he wants to use it for. Of course there are occasionally individual lemo...

Re: Can't Quit Properly/End Task + 100% Disk Usage + Shutting Down issue.
Congratulations, you bought probably the worst HD that you could buy for using with a torrent client. A Seagate 8TB BarraCuda is a SMR type drive. They are inherently slow. The reason you can't shut down Qbittorrent is because the drive is still busy moving all your data from a cache to the platters...

Peter, I was just joking around. I just happened to re-stumble over your prediction and I thought that posting it would be good for a laugh. Hopefully you'll take that in that spirit. Actually I've decided to go to the dark side - ayuDark to be exact. It was a bit of a shock initially but I got used...

Exception 0xc0000005, look it up. The first entry that returned when I did it was https://www.stellarinfo.com/blog/how-to ... n-windows/. That's a good starting point for you to figure out "Why?".

Re: 4.5.0 color scheme is... ugh
Peter, Peter, Peter... I didn't realize you were such a comedian. :) I guess what you are trying to say is that there is no such simple editor. I know enough not to shoot the messenger so I'm not blaming you but having to do all that just to change a color from red to green or whatever one might wan...

Re: 4.5.0 color scheme is... ugh
I'll just quote myself here. :p Peter, since you quoted yourself, I'll quote myself. Could someone point me in the direction of a simple editor where I could make a few minor changes to an existing Qbittorrent theme? Thank you. This goes beyond the base 4.5.0 color scheme that you say will be fixed...
