Re: Can't Quit Properly/End Task + 100% Disk Usage + Shutting Down issue.
The issue is CMR vs. SMR. It's very easy to look up the specs if you know the model number. If he buys a name brand CMR drive I think most people would be willing to guarantee that it will be better than the one he has for what he wants to use it for. Of course there are occasionally individual lemo...

Re: Can't Quit Properly/End Task + 100% Disk Usage + Shutting Down issue.
Congratulations, you bought probably the worst HD that you could buy for using with a torrent client. A Seagate 8TB BarraCuda is a SMR type drive. They are inherently slow. The reason you can't shut down Qbittorrent is because the drive is still busy moving all your data from a cache to the platters...

Peter, I was just joking around. I just happened to re-stumble over your prediction and I thought that posting it would be good for a laugh. Hopefully you'll take that in that spirit. Actually I've decided to go to the dark side - ayuDark to be exact. It was a bit of a shock initially but I got used...

Exception 0xc0000005, look it up. The first entry that returned when I did it was https://www.stellarinfo.com/blog/how-to ... n-windows/. That's a good starting point for you to figure out "Why?".

Re: 4.5.0 color scheme is... ugh
Peter, Peter, Peter... I didn't realize you were such a comedian. :) I guess what you are trying to say is that there is no such simple editor. I know enough not to shoot the messenger so I'm not blaming you but having to do all that just to change a color from red to green or whatever one might wan...

Re: 4.5.0 color scheme is... ugh
I'll just quote myself here. :p Peter, since you quoted yourself, I'll quote myself. Could someone point me in the direction of a simple editor where I could make a few minor changes to an existing Qbittorrent theme? Thank you. This goes beyond the base 4.5.0 color scheme that you say will be fixed...

Re: 4.5.0 color scheme is... ugh
I think it is wonderful that some individuals have taken the time to make various themes for gBittorrent and placed them here and elsewhere. I see a lot of good theme ideas but none that I've seen are totally what I'm looking for. In most cases if a very minor change were made, I could declare a the...

Re: UI Lock Password
I'm probably going to come across as a terrible person for being so brutally honest but if you don't know how to do such basic computing tasks, you aren't ready to take on a program as complex as qBittorrent. Start googling, buy some introductory computer books, do whatever it takes to get your comp...

Please list the NAS address you are using for the Default Save Location. Are you using a mapped drive or an UNC address?

Re: v1 v2 hashes mismatch error
You didn't ask a question. Each of your 4 sentences were statements, all of which did not provide any useful information to even start tracking down any solution to your problem, including the last which said you moved to a different torrent client. Oh, and by the way, this forum is not used for rep...

Re: speed problem 20 mbs max
Classic bit confusion. QBitTorrent measures in MiB/s (mebibyte/second) when dealing with the kind of speed you are talking about. If your VPN over FIOS is actually using the measurement of Mbps (note the small b and no i) then that is something quite different. 1 MiB/s to Mbps = 8.38861 Mbps So, 200...

Re: Question about seeding.
In the most simplistic terms you will be seeding from the folder that you entered in your "Default Save Path" in Options. In theory you can move it to another location after the fact but it gets complicated and I don't believe you are ready for complicated yet. Without specifically mention...
