It seems very unlikely that failed searches have anything to do with port forwarding. I agree. It doesn't. Apparently I missed the first part where he wrote "I am not able to get any search results at all." He's still having issues with UPnP though according to the logger output he posted.

Technically this isn't a bug. Back when this thread was created LibTorrent just didn't have the functionality in place to handle this particular case.
