Re: Delete torrent + files ?
Hi, i'm newbie here, also searchin for this option in qbittorrent, but i did not export old torrent-files from uTorrent, only new files and result is the same. I already used to delete files files with torrent and manual deleting is very annoying. Set this under Options → Advanced https://i.ibb.co/...

Re: qBitorrent v5.0.0 slow download speed
I just upgraded to qBittorent v5.0.0 from v4.6.7 and I noticed a big decrease in transfer speed. In v4.6.7 I was getting anywhere from 50Mb-90Mb on my 1Gbit link but with v5.0 I'm getting like 4Mb-6Mb. I reinstalled v4.6.7 and my speed is back to normal. I'm using Windows 11 64bit. Are you using di...

Re: Torrent deleting issue
WOW - you cracked it. I haven't looked in the Advanced Settings for a while. Just found this in the v5 Changelog :- FEATURE: Allow to move content files to Trash instead of deleting them (glassez). Have a drink - I'd say "on me" but I'm probably not even in the same country as you !! No p...

Re: Torrent deleting issue
It must be a bug then that only affects some users. I re-enabled my Recycle Bin and using qBittorrent v5 the torrent content is actually deleted. It never hits the bin. I'm using local disk storage (internal M.2 NVME PCI-e SSD). Until this is looked into by the devs you can just permanently delete ...

Re: Torrent deleting issue
Thanks LilTroy. I don't want to completely remove the option of using the Recycle Bin. It's useful in case you do - as you said - delete something accidentally. In version v5, a 'shift delete' command - including data content - moves the actual downloaded file to the Recycle Bin. In the previous ve...

Re: Torrent deleting issue
I have the same issue. Deleting a torrent work but is not deleting the "real" file(s). The error is something like: 2024-10-02 01:21 - Failed to remove torrent content. Torrent: "blablabla.1080p.web.h264.mkv". Error: "Unspecified error" my torrent directory is on a QNA...

Re: Torrent deleting issue
After installing v5, if you permanently delete a torrent - by 'shift delete' - it sometimes still goes into the Recycle Bin. The 'Also delete content' box is checked so I think it's a bug that's crept in ?? Hmm. I have no such issue and I'm also using qB v5.0.0. I just tested the ‘delete content’ o...

Re: Cannot restore qbittorrent for Windows 10
I have been using Qbittorrent a long time without any problems. Now it keeps asking indicating that the UI is locked. I tried to insert the password as indicated on one of the website o=about this issue but sadly to no avail. So, next I tried to copy the password in my Qbittorent settings. I could ...

Re: Which is the latest version for Windows 7 and Windows XP?
Old versions of qBittorrent may still run on those outdated Windows versions but that doesn't mean you should be using them. Both Win XP & Win 7 reached End of Life (EOL) many years ago. They're no longer maintained. You can't even get security patches for them anymore through Windows Update. Up...

Re: Why is qBittorrent so much better than utorrent?
Kinda off-topic but if you have an Android device, you can just go into your Network settings, look for Private DNS and input this: dns.adguard.com Free adblock in every app, phone-wide. Unfortunately for "normal users" (ie.: my sister, mother) this pretty much "breaks the phone"...

Re: Why is qBittorrent so much better than utorrent?
Hello: New user of qbittorent. Moved from uTorrent. Been using qbittorent for a month or so now. Been using uTorrent for years. First, I really love the search feature. Having that integrated into the torrent client really makes it so much easier/better to use than uTorrent. But the thing that real...

Re: QB leaks IP bypassing VPN
I see - there's even an issue for this: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/13661 I wonder though why QB is different in this from all other applications. I.e. when I activate the VPN, all other applications are sending the traffic to the VPN immediately without any extra efforts, i.e...

Re: QB leaks IP bypassing VPN
I activated PrivadoVPN, which hides my IP, then checked ipleak.net, which showed Privado's IP address as expected. However, when I also tried "torrent address detection" at ipleak.net, it showed both IP addresses, including my real one. I'm not sure if this is Privado's problem or QB's pr...
