Re: Torrents do not upload

If it's a private tracker, you don't seed the torrent once you create it. You upload the created file to the tracker website. THEN you download it from the website (!). And that is the file you have to seed. (explanation: the website inserts the tracker address and your own private key into the file.)

Re: Qbitorrent no descarga

You are trying to download public torrents.

- you need an open port forward
- maybe you have to add trackers by hand (https://github.com/ngosang/trackerslist)
- maybe they don't have enough seeds
- maybe the torrent is dead

I'd recommend using private trackers.

Re: Torrents get deleted

That is not normal. It seems like qBittorrent cannot save it's data basically. It uses %APPDATA% and %LOCALAPPDATA% folders to do so. But what's wrong with yours? Very good question. I am 100% sure something is not normal in your setup, but from afar, it is incredibly to guess what exactly. Do you h...

Re: How to upload only to several peers with 'highest progress'

What you want is "Super seeding mode". It uploads to the first peer with max speed. Most client knows this, even old uTorrent versions. Downside? Well, if the highest peer disappears and/or they don't upload while downloading, you are back to square 1. But I used this a lot when I uploaded...

If you ever want to remove a PPA, you can do so by using ppa-purge:

Re: qBittorrent Linux 4.6.2 AppImage

First of all thank you for your answer; I've used the konsole to install it and the last version avaiable is v4.5.4 (64-bit) it's not the 4.6.2 that is only for AppImage; not a big problem but it is not the last version, should be reported to Ubuntu 23.10 developers. 23.10 is supported by the PPA. ...

Re: PSA: Maintenance notices / website updates

Please allow me to offer some feedback. I appreciate the feedback and I also use other providers. Unfortunately Cloudflare and all the plugins we have enabled are just not doing much. No wonder since you can effectively use ChatGPT to solve CAPTCHA for you, or even give you legit Windows 11 Pro key...

Re: PSA: Maintenance notices / website updates

tl;dr: you can only use gmail/outlook to register now. Some history: Since we get so many spam registrations lately, I have enabled hCaptcha at registration. Unfortunately this did not solve the issue. We are also on Cloudflare with high security settings but that does not seem to help either. So we...

Re: qB freezes, unable to force-quit

It seems like you are trying to kill qbitttorrent when its doing heavy lifting. You should limit download speed and also the concurrent download count (ie.: how many torrents download at the same time) so your HDD can keep up. Also, I do NOT recommend downloading to the SSD inside a Mac because Macs...

You can use the PPA, of course: https://launchpad.net/~qbittorrent-team ... ent-stable
(if your release is supported.)

Re: SmartApp Control

You can just click the dialog option on top and allow this file only. No need to mess with the system.

But to answer the question: It's really expensive to get code signing done. The certs are really expensive.
It's around 200-300$ a year or so on the low-end.

Re: [official]qBittorrent 4.6.2 installer - Built with MSVC 2022

Hi Guys, instaup I hope I'm addressing the right topic with this feedback. During the three years I've been using qBit, I've never encountered issues updating to a new version until the recent one, Version 4.6.0. After selecting the movie to download, it displays the file list screen but freezes at...
