With a download speed of 7MBps any drive is fast enough. You mention multiple drives tests so it's not the device attached.
Is the computer hardware and setup healthy by all means? The computer behaves correctly when used for other purposes?
What is the version of QBT and the settings changed?

Re: Speed drops from 2MB/s to 40KB/s to ~0KB/s?
Hi,
Sounds like an issue on the target device (flash), either by the driver or the cache. May you try with another drive?
A regular HDD may be the best option to test (avoid the same IO pattern)

Re: downloads gradually slow in speed then stop
The disk is not fast enough to handle the download speed it seems. If so the IO request will be queued and your memory will be involved, resulting with the symptoms you exposed. The system will then use the swap and, worst case, the swap may have a foot on the same disk leading to more load. Let's s...

Re: downloads gradually slow in speed then stop
Hi, The ISP, the ISP route, or the computer so. This is not the half of a scope. About the ISP I guess forum with others on the same one can give you the answer What if you restart the ISP router/modem during a download? does the speed come back? On the computer side, the RAM or swap may be the root...

Re: Qbittorrent crashing ALL internet connections when it closes
The VPN is out of the way as a possible cause, I'm still thinking about the TCP stack. If so a trace should be visible in event viewer>custom views>Administrative events Anything related to TCP,DNS,GW, of NIC will add weight on this assumption. It may be something else of course (any software firewa...

Re: Qbittorrent crashing ALL internet connections when it closes
Do you use a VPN? Per application or global for the machine?
Monitoring the default route should tell it too ("route print" command).
The windows events tells more?
I guess this is the only device losing Internet access, no other behaves the same at the same moment?

Hi,
Nothing in the logs? I guess TCP stack reset or default GW change. The second may comes from a VPN connection configured
I suppose all connections come back a couple of second after?

Re: Slow download to samba issue
You should be able to manage the smb.conf with an SSH login to your QNAP NAS (vi /etc/config/smb.conf). But this is not the first move I would try. The pre-allocation is a QBT setting and will not behave as you describe, it's one setting that was mentioned on the forum and that my be problematic. My...

Re: download queued, won't start, force resume does
Hi, May you please confirm the version? the last one is higher than 4.3.X you mentioned. Does the log tab mention any error? Possible to update to the last version if it was not a typo? The queue is not enabled by default but you may have changed it for your usage. Disabling the managed mode change ...

Hi,
Not familiar with this distrib but "file associations" is what you're looking for. The settings of the OS should have a section for this.
Maybe even possible to create the association by right clicking the .torrent and choose "open with"

Hi,
Not the default behavior of course, did you changed anything?
Also are have you on the left side all sections checked with "ALL" to avoid any filtering? I'm referring here to the four sections named Status, categories, etc.

Re: Slow download to samba issue
Hi,
Samba settings, pre-allocation on disk in QBT, and many more can be involved. I would start with QBT setting and pre-allocation if it was my setup.
Alternative: why not download locally and move complete files after to avoid depending of the share for the download? (see option in QBT)

Not DNS linked? Try to change the DNS you use by what you prefer (cloudflare, etc).
Reboot and give it another try

Re: Is there any way to have a separate cache for reads and another for writes?
Hi,
Since 4.4.x the cache relies on the OS, so I guess no. Even earlier such was not an option so far I remember
