Re: PSA: Maintenance notices / website updates
1. Haven't tried other browsers, I've been using Pale Moon for a few years now and it's set up as I need. Linux doesn't have much of a choice of browsers anyway, at least nothing as configurable. It didn't use to do that before, I only noticed it now after the version/theme change. Cookie settings ...

Re: PSA: Maintenance notices / website updates
There are three issues I wanted to mention while I'm here: 1. Staying logged in is a challenge as the timeout seems to be at a minute or so. One can't even put together and post a short reply - especially when English is not their native language - before getting kicked out, at which point everythin...

Re: How to downgrade?
Have you tried the 4.3.0 alpha versions first? Chances are some bugs are fixed and new useful features may have been implemented. Although I'm having some speed issues myself with the recent alphas, reason why I use an older one (qbittorrent_4.3.0~ 202003041903 -6879-ca01b04~ubuntu18.04.1_amd64). I ...

Re: Qbittorrent font size does no respect my system's preferences
Glad you got it working.
There was no such error here so didn't have to manually edit the environment file; looking into it now there's only a PATH string there, nothing more.

Re: How to downgrade?
Thank you, I had already found out an easy way in the mean time: sudo apt deb <path to the .deb package> This works with manually downloaded packages stored locally (on HDD or other media) and performs an in-place upgrade/downgrade overwriting existing application file(s). Since there's no actual un...

How to downgrade?
I have the unstable 4.2.0 version that used to be in alpha stage, recently it went to beta and its network performance became crappier with each new build. I want to downgrade it. Went to the Launchpad repository and downloaded the two .deb packages pertaining to an earlier alpha version. Tried to i...

Re: QBT search won't return results properly
Maybe your Ubuntu firewall got an update or a list of IPs/domains got blacklisted by some application or policy, and the firewall is now blocking those addresses.

Re: Qbittorrent font size does no respect my system's preferences
This application uses a Qt5 GUI so you'd have to launch the Qt5 Settings GUI (Qt5 Configuration Tool) and make your changes there.
If it's not installed then launch Software Manager, search for Qt5ct and install it.

Re: Can't start downloads from search tab
There are a few search plug-ins that do not return the correct data. If right-click > Download doesn't seem to work, then use right-click > Open description page . A tracker page will open in browser and there should be download buttons there for .torrent files and/or magnet links. If those don't wo...

Re: How to increase font size ?
Sorry for resurrecting such an old topic but it was the closest to the issue I could find and related to sledgehammer_999 's reply. I'm using qBittorrent 4.2.0 alpha in Linux Mint 19.2 beta Cinnamon x64. Contrary to OP's request I want to decrease font size in the application. Apparently Cinnamon ca...
