Windows 8 - qBittorrent cannot be launched

Hello,

I am all new in this forum. Actually I am having troubles in launching qBittorrent. When I launch it a loading box comes up, freezes and finally crashes (I also get a windows box saying this is trying to find out a solution becausse qBittorrent is not responding).

I also have tried to use other softwares to download torrents without success (same problem). I assume I have wrongly set up my system but I don't know what precisely.

I am using windows 8.1 x64. Avast for antivirus.

Anyone has an idea what I should fix?

You don't seem to have mentioned the version of qBittorrent you are using.
By loading box, do you mean the splash screen (the blue coloured box with the dragon and qBittorrent logo)?
Try downloading the latest version from the official site and see if that fixes your problem.

You mean to say that you installed other BitTorrent clients like µTorrent and BitTorrent, which crash in the same manner?

Anyone has an idea what I should fix?

Set "Run as Administrator" on the Properties -> Compatibility tab.
