Canot change torrent internal folder naming..

Post by postcd »

Hello,

in the past i downloaded files using torrent, result is folder with subfolders and in subfolders are files. Good.

But now i tried downloading other torrent which has identic files, but other naming of the folders in it. In qBittorent (using v3.3.3 now) im unable to make qbittorent work with current folder structure (names). Important for me are files which are identic, and i dont want to change my old folders/subfolders naming to match new torrent naming. How to go about this please while seeding files for new torent? Files are identic, only new torrent has different naming of folder/s?

Thank you

Load the task as 'stopped'

Use 'set location' to move the storage location then start the task.

I think You not understood. Changing directory where torrent contents will be downloaded i know how, but im talking about directories naming "inside torrent", that is what i dont know how to change, if not possible it might be feature request.

Right .... .... You can't,

If the sub-folder is part of the payload, as in a multi-file torrent, you will either have to use the "add new torrent" dialogue and rename the top level folder there, or load the torrent task then rename the folder using the content panel in the properties  pane.

qBittorrent does not add any additional sub-folder to the torrent payload.
