All torrents stalled after upgrading to 3.3.4 on Ubuntu 16.04

Hi! I am fairly new to linux and qbittorrent, so please forgive me if I am vague or confusing.

I ugraded to Ubuntu 16.04  and after the install was complete I was prompted to upgrade qbittorrent to the latest version (3.3.4).  I figured it was appropriate to upgrade to the latest version since I had just updated the OS. I was prompted by another message that said something like if I chose to upgrade I could not downgrade to the previous version and something along the lines of repositorys being different. I know I probably should have screenshot the message but I was caught up in all the excitement haha. Anyways, everything seems to be working fine in qbittorrent but every torrent does not download and is stuck at stalled forever. The previous versions of Ubuntu and qbittorrent never had any problems. I know that both the current versions of Ubuntu and qbittorrent are still very new and may have some kinks to work out. I am just wondering, is everyone having this same problem? Is there something I should do? Thank you very much for reading this. Any advice is very much appreciated. Thank you!!!

I too moved to Ubuntu 16.04LTS few days back. ISO image came with qBittorrent v3.3.1 IIRC.
I believe Ubuntu repos still have v3.3.1, hence added
ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stable
as specified on
http://www.qbittorrent.org/download.php
and did an upgrade to v3.3.4

Everything seem fine with downloading/uploading of queued files.
