UI Lock password
Re: UI Lock password
Hi again, "ls -a" didn't give me anything with qbittorrent in it. There are several programs I recognise and others I don't, but nothing with qbittorrent. Yesterday I tried to uninstall qBittorrent and all associated files I could find and then reinstall it from scratch but it still wants this password. Isn't there some generic password I could just fill in? It's definitely not from me as I never set one up.

The Mac OS X packager has updated the wiki: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorr ... k-password
Re: UI Lock password
I hope you are still around as it has been awhile since the last post. The link posted directs me to... Open the preference file with a text editor. Where do I find the text editor and how do I open the preference file with it? I use TextEdit which I'm fairly certain is not a text editor. I am on a Mac Powerbook OSX 10.10.5 Yosemite and using the latest version of qBittorent.
Re: UI Lock password
FIXED : look in finder for the .config folder (press shift+cmd+G and search for ~/.config ; you will find the qbittorrent folder and the qbittorrent.ini and then delete the lines:
[Locking]
locked=true
password=<random data>)
Voilà, 3.3.12 working again!
Hello,
Same problem (Macosx Sierra 10.12.4) qbittorent ui locked - when entering command in Terminal:
root# defaults delete com.qbittorrent.qBittorrent Locking.locked
2017-04-08 19:02:19.499 defaults[6063:1332509]
Domain (com.qbittorrent.qBittorrent) not found.
Defaults have not been changed.
root# defaults delete com.qbittorrent.qbittorrent Locking.password
2017-04-08 19:02:03.906 defaults[6062:1330955]
Domain (com.qbittorrent.qBittorrent) not found.
Defaults have not been changed.
Any other options? Installed again qbittorent 3.3.12, same problem.
The only version which is working without asking a password is qbittorrent-3.3.6.dmg
Cheers
