Currently, the latest version (v3.3.15) is built with Qt5-libs. But the functionality of Qt5 file dialogues is greatly reduced compared to normal KDE or GTK+ file dialogues. Opening torrent files can be frustrating. Also the look and feel of this version of qBittorrent is deficient, to put it mildly. For example, the torrent download progress bar no longer shows the percentage. And there are other small details of this L'n'F that make the application ugly.
I saw that it is still possible to built qBittorrent from source using the Qt4-libs, although I haven't tried it yet. It would be nice to have a binary version of qBittorrent built with Qt4-libs in the repos. Perhaps there could be two binary versions: one normal, built with Qt5, and on for older (but still supported) Qt4 systems. Perhaps, the Qt4 version can be named qBittorrent-qt4.

Re: qBittorrent with Qt4-libs
I assume you're on a GTK DE using a Qt5 application.
Then your problem is that Qt5 is using the wrong theme for qbt under your DE.
Some solutions are discussed here:
1. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/qt#GTK.2B_and_Qt
2. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Un ... plications
If you're using Xfce, trying asking to their forums how make qt5 apps use the gtk theme you have selected.

Re: qBittorrent with Qt4-libs
Hi! Sorry for the late reply.
No, I'm not on GTK DE. My desktop environment is KDE4. I'm on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with KDE. As always, there is a mix of gtk+ and Qt applications on my machine, but it appears that qBittorrent is the only Qt5 application I have. The rest use normal KDE or GTK file-open dialogues, but qBittorrent's are greatly reduced in functionality. And, as I mentioned, Look-and-feel have changed for the worse compared to the previous version.
