Using a vpn

Hi,

I have recently started using QBittorent without a VPN, however browsing the forum i've read that i should not, so i downloaded OpenVPN and set up the free vpn service offered by VPNbook, is it good? If not, any good free vpn service that you would reccomend?

I noticed that when the vpn is connected torrents tend to stall, or to not start; is there a way to avoid this?

Is simply turning on the vpn enough to make yourself anonymous? Or is possible to have a link to a step-by-step guide?

Free VPN is not secure as I have personal experience, instead, you should buy any budget VPN for your secure browsing on the internet.
