Hi, I started using qBittorrent a few weeks ago and at first it performed well. But a few days ago, it started to behave badly with uploading. The problem sounds very similar to this old bug.
I first noticed it after posting a new set of torrents, other users tried to download but no bytes were sending. I could see in the qBittorrent UI 100%, seeding, with peers, yet 0 B/s upload. Looking at the peers detail, it would show an IP address for a few seconds then it would disappear.
Originally I had 2.9.3 so I upgraded to 2.9.5 but the symptoms did not change. I tried messing around with the Speed settings, and sometimes it will upload to one or two peers, but it still doesn't seem to be running like it did before. For example right now I can see three torrents with peers shown as "1 (1)", with 0B uploaded. And sometimes another IP address appears briefly in the peers detail then disappears.
Any suggestions to help diagnose this problem?

First, make sure that you are connectable, typically a green icon along the bottom of window. Then, make sure there actually are people waiting or trying to download off the torrent. Another thing I would also check, but I doubt, if you have a filter configured could it be blocking the peers trying to download?
The peer you describe that appears for a second then disappears may be the tracker you're seeing.
I think this may have been reported recently too... due to utorrent preferring it's own client, and it gives priority to it's own clients before anything else. Is it by chance all the other users using utorrent 3+?

Perhaps I spoke too soon, 2.9.7 does seem to be behaving better. The icon was yellow in 2.9.5 and now it is green. I will post again after some more time observing.

Well it's back to behaving badly and I don't know how to diagnose the problem. Any suggestions? The icon is green showing Connection Status: Online. There are several torrents which have leechers according to the tracker. But nothing is uploading from qBittorrent.

Sadly I haven't received an invite to either of those sites yet, so my large collection of obscure CDs remains unshared.
The tracker in question is on a private torrent site with a rule which states that its URL may not be posted publicly.

Ok done. I wouldn't be surprised if the problem lies with the tracker, but I don't know how to diagnose it.

Btw if the problem comes up for anyone else, always check the tracker's whitelist. (No, tinyrodent's problem is still not solved, but my best guess so far is a tracker whitelist without qBittorrent in their list.)

At this point although I don't know how to prove it, I'll assume that these problems are caused by the tracker rather than the client. The bad behavior comes and goes, without any changes to the client or its operating environment.
I did try using uTorrent briefly as an alternative but really hated it (and it performed even worse).
