has this changed with qbittorrent version 4? Blocks are held in cache to reduce number of writes to disk?

qBT may be MUCH improved in the next versions, due to fixes described here:

Today was released qbt 4.1.0
and it has this: FEATURE: Add "Coalesce reads & writes" checkbox in advanced options (Chocobo1)
I see it is enabled by default in Options / Advanced
