Python is required:
http://www.python.org/
..but if you try to use the search function without having Python installed, qBittorrent should give you a prompt and offer to download and install it for you automatically.
Anyway, you can try reinstalling Python and see if that helps.

Re: qBittorrent 3.0.0 installer - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
ok people please explain to me somethinh that has been on my mind for over a year !!!
Why is it - on qbt or utorrent or any other client - that often when i download 1 torrent file...the speed is very low (it has seeds) but if i activate another torrent on my list....the speed of that first slow torrent...BOOSTS and becomes very quick.
then if i pause the second torrent again...the first one becomes SLOW again !! WTF ?

Re: qBittorrent 3.0.0 installer - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
Is anyone going to compile 3.0.1 for Windows? May as well try out the newest builds.
Re: qBittorrent 3.0.0 installer - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
We will have to wait till sledgehammer_999 gets around to it.
Re: qBittorrent 3.0.0 installer - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
Speed limit (both global and alternative) didn't work on 3.0.

Qbittorent 3.0.0
It works with Python 2.7.3 (installed under \Python folder). If Python is not installed the qbittorpent installer run the installer and install Python 2.7.3
Qbittorent didn't work with updated version of Python (ex. 3.0.3).
Should be required a fix for bittorent to work with any version of Python.
What's about version 3.0.2 of QBT?
Which are the changes vs. 3.0.0?
Whty this version 3.0.2 is available under linux (no Windows)?

qBittorrent is essentially on lifesupport; bla bla
EDIT: Not cool, if you really only registered to say this thats really sad. Instead of showing some respect, atleast saying thanks, to our developers and windows builders would be much more properly.

Tools->Options->Speed->Apply rate limit to utp connections
Make sure it is enabled.

Please make a bug report for Python. Also you should know that Python 2 is very different from Python 3.
As for new builds please expect them sometime this weekend. I am on vacation currently.

So you sign up and your first post is an advertisement.... hmmm not cool man
Also qbittorrent is not on life support. The author daily commits code on github and he constantly makes new releases.
qbt on Windows releases sporadically because it has only one active maintainer(me) and I was busy with real life these past months. Also not all Linux distributions are great either. (Debian is still at version 2.9.

Edited Quejikos's comment, a bit disrespectfull to our developers and maintainers in my opinion. Use whatever you prefer yourself but don't advertise, thanks. Good to see you again sledge

Re: qBittorrent 3.0.0 installer - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
As a side note, I once tried the client that Quejikos promoted..
I don't know why, cuz it's supposed to be very lightweight, but on my system it was a terrible resource hog that almost brought my system to its knees!
This was a while back, so it might just have been related to some bug that's been fixed long time since, but the experience stuck with me and made me loose interest in it.
Anyway, I'm happy with qBittorrent.
I think Chris is doing a great job with it, and I don't see any reason why I should switch to another client!
