Re: [official]qBittorrent 4.5.2 installer - Built with MSVC 2022
Hello,
I have a question for the developers. I see there are four distinct installers for qbittorrent
1- Qt-5/LT-1.2
2- Qt-5/LT-2.0
3- Qt-6/LT-1.2
4- Qt-6/LT-2.0
I understand the differences between all four, but my question is;
Which one is the default installer? or which installer is the one recommended and used by the developers themselves?
Since the qbitorrent client performance is slightly different in each version, I would like to use the one that is used/recommended by the developers themselves.
And a request to please make one installer the default installer in future releases, while providing the other three as additional options to people who want to use them. This way everyone will know which one is the recommended version and which ones are optional.
Thanks,

You can assume as default the ones that the updater detects: The Qt5 build with LT-1.2Goodman07 wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2023 2:48 am Hello,

I use the Qt6 version with LT-2.0. AFAIK the other main devs do the same.
If you're on Windows 10+ there's not point in using the Qt5 version. In fact, it will be dropped in v4.6.0 (alongside Win7/Win8 support).
You should start with LT-2.0 and if you observe unreasonable memory hogging then try the LT-1.2. LT-2.0 is probably fine for the average user.

Thanks for the response. The last time I tried LT-2.0, I did not encounter any memory issues, but it took my torrents a long time to reach max speed. So I switched to LT-1.2 version and it resolved the issue.sledgehammer_999 wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 1:31 pm You can assume as default the ones that the updater detects: The Qt5 build with LT-1.2

I will stick with Qt5/LT-1.2 for now until it is discontinued, and then switch to Qt6/LT-1.2 afterwards.
Thanks,
