Hey all. So recently iv noticed that some torrents i add to my qbittorrent will stall. The strange thing is i know these torrents have seeders, and if i do a force recheck it instantly starts downloading.
For example from the picture below, the stalled torrent has 20 seeders and 2 leechers when i check online.
This happens on my pc with version 4.6.1, and also on my seedbox which is 4.5.5 .
Its a pain as i have an RSS setup, and many torrents will stall for some reason yet 100% have seeders.
Is this happening to anyone else?

Re: Some torrents stall
What do you see if you click a stalled torrent and go Trackers tab?
Re: Some torrents stall
Thank you for your reply Peter

Heres a screenshot of a torrent i tested just now. It was uploaded only 30 seconds ago, so i think it mainly happens with very new torrents. The weird thing is on the website it had 0 seeders and 5 leechers, and now has 5 seeders. 10 minutes later and its still the same

Re: Some torrents stall
Yeah it looks like you start the initial "announcement" before the tracker registers the torrent. I remember people asking about this. Uhm.Sunzz wrote: Wed Nov 29, 2023 10:57 pmThank you for your reply Peter

I suppose you could cook something up using the API.
Are you familiar with it or should I post some monstrosity code?

Re: Some torrents stall
I mean its mostly the trackers fault not qBittorrent's.
qBittorrent cannot just assume so and hammer the tracker because then it'd end up on the banned client's list.
It's a delicate situation.
But users can always decide to hammer it and they may or may not get caught.
