Props to Nosfi. Thank you. I uninstalled all versions of python.Don't uninstall Qb. Run Qb 5 installation again, after install, it will ask to install Python, click yes. Worked for me. All my plugins worked again. :-)

Hi, same thing happened to me. All search plugins disappeared. Downgreaded to the previous version, but they are still inactive.

Upgraded to 5.0 but had this issue so went back to 4.6.7:

Tried:
1. Reinstalled 4.6.7 QB
2. Uninstalled all python environments
3. Started QB
4. Allowed Phython to be downloaded and installed
5. Still getting errors when I go to the search page and check for updates (Plugin is not supported for every plugin)

I'm so dumb, should not have installed 5.0, should have waited a bit.

I never understand why people update so quickly. Pretty much all software is terrible (and I'm a software engineer myself). Whether it be Windows Update, or QBittorrent or whatever. Always wait at least a week or so to find out what stuff breaks. QBittorrent v4.6.7 will work fine for years to come. In a few months or so, v5.x will probably work as well.

Hi All, so I ran in the same problem, and I tried a few solution in here. None work before I did a reboot. I notice that with both old version and new. It seem like the install didn't detect or remove the search engine settings. The message error that pop are the engine that actually work with 5.0. So here is what I did.

So on my last try I ran RevoUninstall, and I removed Python and the launcher, with revo delete all the left over.
I then use Revo to uninstall qBitorrent, In torrent uninstalled I click remove config files. Revo found a bunch of left over so I removed it all.

*** note I did lose the torrent in progress *** But at this point I said what ever I'll find em again.

Rebooted the system with Restart ( windows 11 )

Then on boot launch qbittorrent exe in admin mode ( overkill maybe )
Click search and installed Python ( it installed 3.10 something )
I then went to search tab and click update and the broken plugins suddenly installed with no problem.
Did lose all the others plugins so far.

working engine added by 5.0 after I click update in qBitorrent search page.

Will have to manual install other plugins I guess from here.

That's cool but I have 4200+ torrents and 4000+ are private torrents that need to be shared. But it's good for those who don't mind losing the trackers/settings. Thanks.

Same issue here.
I uninstalled QT and python (wih Windows tool), I re-installed all, I uninstalled it again and installed several 4 versions without success. The plugings for the search are unusable.

I see that even I mark the options to erase customs settinns and torrents, it does nothing, they remain in my computer.

Did anybody find a workarround to enable again the plugins at any version?

The answer to missed or unupdateable plugins for 5.0 is uninstalling Python versions earlier than 3.13 and then install this version from https://www.python.org/downloads/

This will resolve the issue as I experienced the same thing.
