Hi guys,
Sorry, but I new to this forum and have nowhere else to turn.
Running Windows 11 with everything 100% up to date.
I have been using qBittorrent for years and never had this issue before.
Also, everything was working 100% this morning, so very confused now what is happening.
If I click on a magnet link, or even a downloaded file, qBittorrent open, but is totally frozen and says Not Responding in the top bar...
I tried to reinstall the package, remove old one, reinstall, but I'm getting the same issues no matter what I do.
If I open qBittorrent without loading any files, it then runs 100%. And if I try to manually add a file, it crashes again.
I have no idea where to find the log files if they are needed, but wondering if anyone might have any suggestions perhaps.
I looked in AppData\Local\qBittorrent\logs but that folder is empty.
I also tried running as Admin, but same issue...
Please help.
v5.0.3 crashes when adding new torrent file
Re: v5.0.3 crashes when adding new torrent file
OK! So looks like I sorted it out!
If anyone else is having this same problem as of today, then it looks like Microsoft added in .torrent files to be blocked by the virus scanner.
I solve the issue by adding in "torrent" as a file type exclusion and now it runs fine.
Hope this can help someone along the line!
