Resetting qBitTorrent to default settings

Post by thatguy77 »

I have qBitTorrent 2.9.7 (build with uTP).  Over the last few weeks (even before this build) torrents that I have been seeding haven't been counting towards being seeded at my private tracker.  I thought a work-around was to force check the torrents that weren't being detected as seeding (on my tracker, qBitTorrent said it was, though) and then my tracker would see them as seeding.  It would eventually go back to not being detected, and then it seemed like that that work around wasn't working anymore even for a little bit.  The only way I can get it to count is seeding the torrent from uTorrent.  I don't like using uTorrent, the newer versions cause my wireless connection to drop for no apparent reason.

After fiddling with some settings, now it appears I can't even download from my private tracker.  My light at the bottom is yellow.  I don't think it has ever been green before, though.  uTorrent connects just fine (green arrow icon).  I've even tried using the port uTorrent is using for qBitTorrent.

So I want to restore to factory defaults and start diagnosing from there.  Easiest way to do this?

Go to qB's appdata folder and delete the settings files.

Thanks, I found the proper files to delete after some digging through the AppData folders.  And now qBitTorrent is green again, so I am hoping my problems will be solved.
