I've been trying to use a BTGuard proxy with qBittorrent and am getting stalled status with 0 peers for most torrents. I found this thread:
https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/663
I removed qBittorrent and libtorrent from my computer and installed qBittorrent v3.0.10 and libtorrent v0.16.10. Same problem. Is the libtorrent on your website patched, yet?
Being a bit of a noob, I didn't try patching it with the patch from here, yet:
http://code.google.com/p/libtorrent/iss ... ail?id=439
Do you recommend I try this? Should qBittorrent v3.0.10 and libtorrent v0.16.10 work with BTGuard/ SOCK5 proxy?
Thanks for your suggestions!
UDP broken over SOCKS5/ BTGuard AND Ubuntu/Linux
Re: UDP broken over SOCKS5/ BTGuard AND Ubuntu/Linux
Let me update this to say that under about qBittorrent it says the version was built against:
Qt: 4.8.1
Libtorrent: 0.16.10.0
Boost: 1.46.1
When I disable the SOCK5 proxy downloads work fine. As soon as I enable SOCK5 proxy it says 0 peers.
Your help is appreciated.

So, by the 80 reads this thread got - it's an interesting issue - and both the author and me registering on frum just for that...
Is somebodu working on a solution ?
I attempted to submit a bug, https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/857
... it seems like Ubuntu - for some reason, have an older version of this library..
So, how did you manage to update it ?

Re: UDP broken over SOCKS5/ BTGuard AND Ubuntu/Linux
With cooperation with BtGuard and libtorrent author we have fixed this. Namely it was a libtorrent bug. I can't remember if the fix was included in 0.16.10 or 0.16.11 though. Just take at their changelogs.

Ubuntu 13.10 beta has libtorrent 0.16.10, but the qBittorrent version is 3.0.9-0. I'm guessing that I would need 3.0.11, but I'm not sure how to update that. Also, I don't think the hydr0g3n ppa has anything for Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander). Anyone else got this working?

Not for OS that's not "officially" released yet...

IIRC, qbt didn't contain a specific fix for this. If libtorrent contains the fix, then any version of qbt that should start working again.
