Same problem for me with the added twist it seems to have done something to Firefox that prevents the download pop up dialogue from working (with .torrent, .exe, etc files). That or it is an amazing coincedence Firefox immediately stopped working properly after I installed 4.1.4. I can still manually add torrents to qbit and magnet links work at least.
edit: I found out the problem and remarkably, it was an amazingly strange coincedence.

Same here, win 10 x64, qBt force closes every time after updating, thought I was fucked but went back to 4.1.3 and works like a charm now. Glad to know I'm not the only one.
Also: WTH, I created an account here but the devs pay attention to Github instead?
The devs basically spend all their qBT-related time trying to code for qBT rather than answering questions on the forums.
1 error can trigger what seems a bunch of "unrelated" problems and crashes posts, but the posters almost never compare notes...
Confirming crash on Win 10 x64 bit version. 32 bit version works fine.
Also if settings are cleared x64 version starts up happily. Adding torrents causes it to crash
Yet another one with this problem with 4.1.4 64bit. So far I've solved it by installing 4.1.4 32bit version. (I had also went back to 4.1.3 64bit but got tired of the update nag screen.)
4.1.4 x64 works great here (the re-release, the first one was crashing each time). Been days since I use it without one issue. I'd try reinstalling and make sure it's the last version.
