[official]qBittorrent 3.0.11 installer - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
Re: qBittorrent 2.9.11 + 3.0.0rc4 installers - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
Did all of the above. nothing changed. There is nothing about that in execution log.
EDIT: previous stable versions have the following in log:
09/07/2012 22:33:42 - This file is either corrupted or this isn't a torrent.
09/07/2012 22:33:42 - Unable to decode torrent file: '0'
It is not possible that anything left in %appdata%, %localappdata% i deleted all by hand. Even 2.9.7 have this issue. I probably didnt noticed because only in v3 it started to display message instead of writing it in log.

Do you get this with clean install - no torrents added, nothing in %APPDATA%?

Re: qBittorrent 2.9.11 + 3.0.0rc4 installers - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
Hello!
I noticed that when clicking on "Content" window and checking the progress % with % done, that they are not synchronized. Is this how it should be or is it a small bug? Also, is it possible to get "Ask for program exit notification" working when there are no active torrents?
Btw, where does qbittorrent store torrents locally?
I'm using 3.0.0 rc4.
Thank you.

So what about torrent does not exist issue? I there anything else I can try? Though if it tries to open torrent file with the name "0" even with clean install (or at least this is what i understand from log), of course it won't find it. Maybe I should create one?
I won't be able to switch to v3 cause of this annoying error popup... Tried RC5 - nothing changed.

Re: qBittorrent 2.9.11 + 3.0.0rc4 installers - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
Thank you, ironcross.
Is it possible to just stop the torrent download without using "Do not the download automatically" since that option pauses downloads of newly added torrents too? I would just like to stop the download of some torrents so they remain stopped/paused when i restart the program but i would also like for all other newly added torrents to start automatically when added.

Of course you can do that. Just select all torrents you want to pause, then right click - Pause. They will remain paused until you start them again. All other torrents will start automatically.

Thanks, ironcross. You are the best.
I am using Bit Che and recently started testing Torrent Rover program to search for torrents and have a question about search boxes inside the qbittorent client. Does anyone know if it is possible to remove (hide) Torrent content search and small search box in the top-right corner for people who are not using them?
Also, can anyone confirm that qbitorrent doesn't go on top when you open the torrent? For me, qbittorrent opens up but stays in the background down on the taskbar.
Keep up the good work guys.

Confirming.
When i click on magnet or normal torrent, the torrent addition window opens in the background.

@ironcross & dayman & all other people...
ok this has been stated a couple of times but with no clear solution. i came from utorrent (8 years of use!) and something nice about that program was:
- when i open a finished torrent folder and i cut the file (movie, music etc...) and paste il elsewhere...utorrent says "TORRENT ERROR" and of course i remove the torrent....
in QBT when i do the same thing.....
- torrent starts downloading AGAIN !!!! but it's not always the case; sometime it happens, sometime not....and the thing is that for example yesterday my wife finished downloading 5 movies and took them on het portable drive....when i came home ans started QBT....the 5 movies where there from 0% and downloading.......
i called the wife and said to STOP downloading crap.....she then told me "baby i already took those hours ago they finished!!!"
RESULT: i WASTED 6 hours of redownloading
I must say this happened on built 2.9.7/8/10/11......W7 x86 SP1....
Anyone has same ISSUES ? any solution
??????????
ps: i changed the default folder for downloads to D:

Re: qBittorrent 2.9.11 + 3.0.0rc4 installers - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
Today I figured out that "torrent does not exist" issue can also be triggered by opening some .torrent files... But still it doesnt explains why it says so even if i launch it without any torrents added. guess have to go back to utorrent as I don't see any solutions even in theory.
EDIT: just figured out, about these "some" .torrent files, it happens if I double click on .torrent file, but if i open it from qBittorrent menu it works with no error. Maybe it doesnt likes "?" in file name?

Re: qBittorrent 2.9.11 + 3.0.0rc4 installers - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
Maybe a dumb question, but why you use "Cut" to move your finiched files? Use "Copy" or "Send to". Finished torrents must stay on their place for seeding, to help others to download too.
Re: qBittorrent 2.9.11 + 3.0.0rc4 installers - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
Kinda hard to answer a question about user error without making the user seem dumb.
I suggest, pause torrent before you decide to move it's contents... of course it's just as easy at that point to remove the torrent since you'll no longer be using it. Even better, which this actually sounds closer to the solution, educate those intending to use the torrent program on how to "properly" use it... then very rarely would you run across this problem again.
I think it's just "dumb luck" that utorrent behaves "differently" and it didn't cause problems for you.
