hi all....dunno if this was discussed, but nobody seems to care too much: using RC5 on W7 32bits. "Limit Download SPEED DOES NOT WORK anymore" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i tried on several torrents and NADA !!!!! i wanted to limit the speed i was downloading at...but REALLY it is not working!!!! regarding upload speed i can't say..as nobody is taking from my torrents;
PLEASE are you aware of that sledge

? or anyone else ?

Works exactly as expected, upload or download speed limit, per torrent or global. (W7 64bit)
And the torrent file with the " slash " doesn't work on mine either or the asian characters, although it displays correctly... it gives the same error on adding to qbittorrent.

newborn did you check ''apply rate limit to uTp'' in Speed settings? If not do it and try again. This should fix your problem. Its not enabled with default settings and this causes to ignore your set speed limits.

Perhaps you're simply trying to re-open the program before the process has finished closing in the background?
Check for qbittorrent.exe in Windows Task Manager's processes window.

The time it takes for qBittorrent to shut down depends on the number of active torrents/connections.
All connections needs to be properly closed, otherwise qBittorrent wouldn't know where to resume upon next launch, and all torrents would need to be rechecked.

Also, I see that there's a fix in the upcoming libtorrent v0.16.3 that might improve on qBittorrent's shutdown time:
fix race condition causing shutdown hang
Well, don't get your hopes up.
The fix MIGHT improve upon your "problem", but then again; it might NOT!
It could be targeting an entirely different issue all together.
..a permanent freeze issue under certain circumstances perhaps.
Longer shutdown times when handeling large amounts of torrents is something that applies to ALL torrent clients.
