I don't know in which degree this topic is up to date. Rss (now)  marks as read a downloaded item.
1. Tracker that I use, gives the option to check which tv show you want to get, and generates a custom RSS url. (so I don't need a filter for a specific tv show).
2. I use only one tracker.
3. My storage capacity is limited so I only download 480p versions, although they are not defined as such in feed.

My filter parameters are:
- must contain: "hdtv" - to avoid webrip
- must not contain: 720 1080 .S??. (I have used | operator but its displayed with space in my filter). 720 and 1080 is to avoid HD files. ".S??." is to prevent to download an entire season.
- "use regular expressions" is unchecked.

How I said, so far so good. Rss downloader downloaded only what I wanted.
@maruseru: what are the issues you confront with? 2 sources? like "fqm" and "dtv" or whatever? If so, in the example adding "fqm" in "must not contain" doesn't solve it for you?

the problem is if you're using two trackers for the same filter because you want to get the first that comes out, it will catch both, or if you don't care about quality and you want the first quality that comes out it will catch all of them. this problem presents when downloading movies or music because there's no option for downloading something just once. an option called "disabe filter after first match" would be great for music and movies. tv shows need an episode reminder but honestly I don't know how that'd work with regex.

It's only public trackers where the feed is aggregated from several uploaders or sources that duplicates will occur in a feed.

Well, you are right. I have been only on private trackers for so long and I didn't know much about the current state on public ones. I should have known before posting.

Yes "disabe filter after first match" would  be a plus, I don't dispute that.
In your given example adding "hdtv" in Must contain would solve your issue in the event that the next episodes 11,12... will also have a hdtv release. So you get (download) just one version every time.
The problem I have noticed is that in some instances the feed have the exact same title (id is called?) for the same file and qBt downloads the both. In this case I don't know what you can do. If the latest doesn't present to you, but only your given example I think that my suggestion would solve you issue.

hdtv would not help me, if both releases contain hdtv it will match the filter, the hdtv thing is just silly by the uploaders because they write it even if the video isn't high def, that's just the source. if I add it I would ignore valid releases which don't contain the word hdtv
