Libtorrent 0.16.4 seems to fix some problems with DHT that users reported on windows.
If you're refering to the "improve DHT lookup times" fix from libtorrent's SVN, it's was NOT included in the v0.16.4 release, for some reason..

I am refering to the "DHT nodes reduced to zero after a while" problem.

It looks like DHT is holding on, at least so far, a lot longer than it was.

Damn, magnet links still don't work until you exit and reopen the client.
Can you explain more? They work with me fine. How do I reproduce the problem?
I commented on this bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/qbittorrent/+bug/1011037
I couldn't see how to create a bug report, but I found that one through a search and it was nearly identical, except that it happens to that user on torrent files also. It only happens for magnet links for me. So I commented on it with my description and used the "Does this bug affect you?" link to hopefully bump it somehow. I'm not sure how to reproduce it yet, because it happens for any magnet link I use. So I would say just go to piratebay and click a link, but you already said it doesn't happen for you.
Tomaso pointed out this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qbittorrent/+bug/987340 (note comment #6), when I was describing another bug a few pages back, which may be related. I now realize I was experience two separate bugs and it looks like that is one of them.

Qbittorrent 3.0.5 (with libtorrent 0.16.4) fixes this irksome issue I was trying to describe awhile back. So far, torrents start without needing to restart the client. It appears to have been the DHT issue afterall. Much thanks to the people who figured out the details and reported it properly, qBittorrent team, libtorrent team, and Sledge!

Sledgehammer_999 did you say in your build 3.0.5 you have set a custom icon for the installer? If so I'm not seeing it, it's still the default nsis icon.

Re: qBittorrent 3.0.5 installer - Built with MSVC 2008 and uTP support
why qbittorrent wont read qBittorrent.ini file? like uTorrent with settings.dat
No i dont like that portableapps format but i want to use pure version like utorrent has portable mode.

Because the author isn't motivated enough I guess. Bear in mind that this client originated in the Linux world, where running portable instances of programs isn't common. You should post your request as a wishlist item here->https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues
It could lead to others commenting, and maybe motivating the author enough to implement it.
