We're on the same page, tekko..
I just ment the "Code" button that's located all the way to the right on the navigation bar here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/libtorrent/
..it takes you to the subpage that you posted the link to
Here is a build of qBittorrent 3.1.0alpha11062013 from git master(commit: f4e5d7bc1) with:
boost 1.53
libtorrent trunk 1.0.x (rev: 8457)
openssl: 1.0.1e
qt: 4.8.4
Testn'...
79MB of usage with 270 torrents. Downloading with 12M/s and uploading with 3M/s.
(Of course speed varies, but that's bretty good.)
The connection limits are still getting ignored for some reason.
My router got 9000+ open connections now. (17k is the safety limit bu tit's getting slow already.)
Any idea why this happens?
I have an 500 limit.

Keep in mind that this build uses libtorrent 1.0.x (trunk) which isn't considered stable by the author.
Official qbt releases will use 0.16.x(or the RC_0_16 branch) which is the stable series for now.
Everything works rock-solid for me after a long test.
The only thing it messes up is the connection limit. It goes up to 16000+.
(And this happens on 3.0.9 as well for some reason.)
This is why my connection dies down, not the memory/CPU/amount of torrents.
setting the connection limit doesn't prevent peers from trying to connect all it does is tell the client to reject the connection if the connecting peer isn't any better then the one in the swarm
the connection its self will still remain open until the router either drops it or it times out
if your router has settings for these timeouts you can try and shorten them http://cl.ly/PcdP/Image%202013-06-12%20 ... 9%20PM.png
some of the older linksys firmwares had a bug where the timeout was set way to long
@sledgehammer_999 There is an issue in the installer where special characters, like ñ and accents like ú, doesn't show up correctly, i have seen this in other places as a results of wrong selection of ANSI-Unicode or missing conversion in between...
Also i have one feed that is giving wrong unread numbers, mark all as read, update, everything will be unread again... Is this one if you want to test.
EDIT: marked the errors in yellow
