I ran this tool and everything ran properly, but nothing comes up in qBittorrent.  Any ideas?  I didn't get any error messages.  I'd really like to move away from uTorrent, but manually migrating a few hundred torrents is not an appealing proposition.

since no update on first post i compiled it - it worked for me

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1UBcG ... sp=sharing

idk  programming or anything but something wouldn't compile when used in the paths presented in the script so i had to use my filepath  - hope this works

tested from utorrent 226 to qbt 334

still same usage as in original post

IDK = i don't know.

The link is from a share on my google drive - odd that's not working for you. Do you want me to upload it somewhere else ?

maybe it's because its a exe file - here i uploaded a rar version .

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1UBcG ... sp=sharing

i was just getting errors when running the original file in the post and after reading the thread i installed ruby and compiled a version from navajo's fix - also when compiling the script was giving me some errors so i had to replace some paths regarding the location of the files for it to work (hence idk programming  - could have possibly compiled it without having it run and check stuff but thats way beyond my ruby understanding  - i just lookded at the compiler errors and fixed the paths so it would compile and run on my machine)

anyhow - maybe this fix works for others as i doubt i was the only one looking for a transfer solution or a working exe - just looking to help others ;)

also you can run it like this
ut2gt.exe %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent\resume.dat %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\qBittorrent\BT_backup\  - to avoid having to fill in your username path and it should not matter where you installed the torrent clients or what is your windows system drive

Not a lot of use to me actually .... .... I don't run M$ Windows, and if I needed to convert,  Python has a bEncode library so writing my own shouldn't be a great problem.

(next python project is my own BT protocol client) :)

You can also do %appdata%\utorrent\resume.dat
%appdata% goes straight to the roaming folder, only time you need %userprofile% is if you want to go to appdata\local or remove user startup files or something lol

I've used the importing tool from the first post and it moved all of the torrents to qbittorent as "trackerless". Has anyone ran into similar problem?

uTorrent 2.2.1
Win 7 sp1 x64
qBittorent 3.3.4

I did not when i used this a few months back, you can resolve that issue by enabling the Exchange Trackers with other peers option under tools > optioned > advanced in the libtorrent section.
When qbittorent connects one of those torrents to a peer through DHT it should populate your tracker list.
This obviously wont work with private only torrents.

Yes. Imported as trackerless.

All my torrents are from private trackes. Does this mean I can't import them?

If you want to use all of them as private torrents then uncheck the three boxes?

options > bittorrent > privacy > dht, pex, lsd

Then add your private trackers.

That is the first thing I did.

Manually? Because I did not find mass edit option.

The safer way:
copy and paste tracker to each...

Another but more technical way:
mass copy the magnet links and paste them into a text editor.
Use find and replace to add the private tracker to the links.
copy and paste the links to qbt.
trackers will be merged for any torrent that has been detected as public.

The messy way:
Backup the .torrent files and remove them from the list keeping the files downloaded.
In options > bittorrent > add the private tracker to that auto add box
Now when you re-add the .torrent, the private tracker would be added. (That's if qbt detects the .torrent as public)
Remove the tracker from options when you're done.
Please note that you will lose any custom locations, category info. and so on. Be carefully... Test a few to understand what's going on.

Thank you for you advice, but this isn't the one-click solution I thought it would be. I will try something else.
