Slider position after browsing categories

So I have a few categories the strange thing is when changing categories the slider on the right is in some categories at the last spot I left it on another is always on the top but no quite the top. So is there an option to have the slider remember last position or better yet to be always on the top or bottom when you select that category mine are ordered by "added on" if it makes any difference. Thanks in advance.
