How to un-split split files?

Post by Dogmatix »

Hello!

I am completely new to downloading files by torrent. I wanted to download some BluRay iso files from a website which said to use a torrent program and suggested qBittorrent. So I downloaded and installed qBittorrent (v4.5.1), and got the download started. However, qBittorent has split the zipped iso file into parts (the filenames ending .001, .002 etc.), the first parts all being 4.5GB and the last part, the rest.

How can I get qBittorrent either to join the parts back into one file, so that I can burn the iso files to BluRays, or alternatively, to download files without splitting them up?

Thanks in advance for any help in this!

Hmm, usually, these sites split them up with RAR, and you have to select either .r00, or .rar and then try extracting that. You can use 7-zip, which is a free alternative that works great to do so.

But! The one you saw, seems like a Total Commander like of split.
Again, 0$ thankfully, you can just grab it from https://www.ghisler.com/ and install it.
Once installed, open Files, and Combine Files in that list.

This should do the trick.
