Turning off certs for HTTPS breaks my password

Post by brandonarnold »

Hi all,

I installed qbittorrent via Docker Compose (linuxserver image). I'm trying to turn off HTTPS, and the password no longer works when I do that. Furthermore I have tried the "forgot password" steps, which is to say that I remove the Password_PKBDV2 line from the config and restart the container. If I do this, the WebUI doesn't give me the error message when I do the default `adminadmin` password, but it just refreshes the page and gives the password prompt again. Is the "forgot password" documentation up to date?

Things are back to normal if I put my HTTPS stuff back in the config. But I really want to remove it.

Thanks!

Honestly, I would join their Discord server and ask there. It'd be the easiest route I guess.

https://www.linuxserver.io/support

Or they also have a Discourse forum available.

Ps: I really, really, really, really don't recommend turning off HTTPS.
