QB with VPN and network interface

I just got dinged by my ISP for DLing.
I am using a VPN, CyberGhost on W11 laptop. Only WiFi
I loaded the torrent into QB, started CG connected normally to server.
Got the notice from the ISP and found that CG was running and connected.
Killed the torrent, exited CG
Poked around QB to see if anything changed.
Noticed that under Advanced / Network Interface that "Any Interface" was selected.
Several other interfaces listed "local area connection 9& 10*"
If CG is running that interface shows up
What is the correct way / sequence to load QB and CG? Should it matter?
Is it possible that with "any interface" selected that the torrent connect was NOT encrypted?
Do I have to bind QB to CG with every run?
Thanks
