Kill switch

Post by thinders1951 »

Not sure how ( maybe tying QB to VPN or IP address) but having QB shout down if there some event happened as a kill switch would be helpful.

In W11 you could tie QB to the interface the vpn is using, then if that interface stops, QB would also stop

Thanks

I mean, you _can_ tie qBittorrent to an interface OR IP.
You could also use Windows Firewall for this. Edit the qBittorrent rule, DISALLOW it from internet, and make a new rule, to only allow it on the VPN interface. That's like, double killswitch. And the VPN providers also give you a VPN killswitch. So that's 3.

(I'd just use a seedbox.)

qBittorrent Preferences->Advanced->Network Interface

Set this to your VPN network interface and this will act as a kill switch if your VPN disconnects.
