Just put Linux on it I think. Which one? Whichever you like, I'd probably go with Xubuntu, or Manjaro's XFCE variant.
Why not Windows? Because even Windows 10 is soon end of life, and qBittorrent does not intend to support abandoned systems.

- How to control remotely?
You can enable WebUI, or VNC also works on Linux but its' a bit more finicky to set up.

Ps.: That CPU is just super super poopy, so don't expect much. It was always super super poopy.

Have you considered https://dietpi.com?
It's a minimal Linux setup and you can also easily install qBittorent (see: https://dietpi.com/docs/software/bittor ... bittorrent).

well, itried several smalll distros but being a n00b left me baffled by them
heck i couldnt even get my vpn to work on them
so, i took a microshit os and cut it severely, keeping only that which is absolutely necessary, and whala!
i have the box set up in the other room connected remote and all is well.
currently serving close to 1500 gigs of discography's
my next question is why does qbit max upload at 1 mb/s when my www speeds are 10 mb/s?
it seems like qbit is allowing only 10% of my total
odd
