qBittorrent official forums

I've just tried installing qBittorrent on my new pc (windows 11) I've previously had it on my old windows 10 pc and have it on my laptop which is also Windows 11. Previous installations have been no problem however when I have clicked on the setup file windows brings up a popup asking to search for an app in the Windows store to open the file.

If I click on No then it just closed the popup and nothing else happens.

Any ideas on how to get past this?

Did you download the current version from the Windows Store or from qBittorent directly?

I have never received that error when I downloaded from qBittorent directly.

You downloaded it from some scam site.

- Remove the file immediately.
- Do a virus scan with Microsoft Defender.
- Maybe you should also do a scan with ESET Online Scanner: https://www.eset.com/int/home/online-scanner/
- Make sure to grab the installer from the official site. https://www.qbittorrent.org/
