Downloads going really really slow

Im downloading a file onto my hdd which has over 300gb left in storage. The file im trying to download is 128gb, i started downloading yesterday everything was going fine i got to 90% put my pc to sleep. The next morning (today) the download was still going fast (10mb/s) but then it dropped all the way down 5 minutes after continuing the download to 20kbs to 10bytes and it stays between that range and i am unable to download it due to the horrible speed. keep in mind my pc has been connected to the same working wifi the whole time so it isnt something to do with my wifi
