Like sure i think it is safe but i just really don't wanna run the risk of downloading the same version of torrent and have my whole pc be dying inside from all of the ads about uhhh you know

I have never once seen an ad in qbt. Ever. Sounds like you downloaded something you shouldn't have, or used an unofficial malware version of the qbt ap.

qBittorrent never ever had ads or sponsored programs. EVER.
I think you downloaded the program from an unknown source that bundled this extra crapware.
