qBittorrent official forums

Hello all

This is my first time posting here and unfortunately I am not too terribly technical.

Having used qBittorrent for some years I updated the version as I have done many times before without incident, this time to version 4.6.3. Unfortunately I now get the below message on starting the application:

qBittorrent has crashed
Please file a bug report at https://bugs.qbittorrent.org and provide the following information:

qBittorrent version: v4.6.0 (64-bit)
Libtorrent version: 1.2.19.0
Qt version: 6.4.3
Boost version: 1.83.0
OpenSSL version: 1.1.1w
zlib version: 1.3
OS version: Windows 10 Version 22H2 10.0.19045 x86_64

Caught signal: SIGSEGV

I have tried regressing to version 4.6.2 but this has not helped. I am using Windows 10.

Any assistance you could provide would be much appreciated.

For crashes you need to:
1- Register on Github from here.
2- Visit this link, and click on New issue.
3- Write the details of the problem.

Thanks for the advice. I had already tried that as the instruction is in the failure message from qBittorrent but without success. I will give it another try. I thought someone here may have experienced this already

If an older version worked fine for you, and you got the problem only after updating, it means the new version has probably a bug that needs to be fixed by the developers. The latter check only bugs reported on Github.
You can use the old version for now. If you don't have the installer, you can get it from here.

Thanks for that. I have seen someone report the same problem with 4.6.0 so I will try a version older than that

My dear friend NXZ!!!

I downloaded the file for v4.5.5 (the last version before 4.6.0) and the application has opened after installation. That seems to have done the trick!
