Jackett Plugin

Can anyone give me very simple instructions to install this plugin?
Please do not paste link to the numerous web site giving instructions and I have probably tried nearly all of them and I am still stuck! I note from the web searches that many people have given up trying to install this as it is too complicated.
I am on a desktop with Windows 11 and the latest version of QBT which I have been using for years. I have downloaded and launched Jackett and it just jumps into the system tray. I have tried following the instructions on the QBT app and when I put "install new plugin" into the search box nothing happens and I do not get the popup to paste the URL into. When I paste the "http://127.0.0.1:9117" directly into Google I get to the Jackett page and have no idea how to proceed from here.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
