Qbittorrent on Ubuntu saving to QNAP linux folder; help!

I'm trying to get qbittorrent on my Ubuntu 22.04 vm to save to a QNAP (linux based) default default folder. I've checked the permissions on the download folder and my admin login has full read/write there. I see there is a NFS option for that folder but as of yet don't have it turned on.

Is there a more direct/easier way to allow qbittorrent to download directly to the QNAP download folder? I've read somewhere that qbittorrent doesn't like network drive locations for dropping files.
Since my qbittorrent is running on an Ubuntu VM and I'm trying to save files to my QNAP linux based folder, it seems like it should just be easy
