I'm trying to set up NordVPN manual settings on Qbittoreent, and I've used the website's instructions on how to do this, but it isn't working for me. Is anyone else using manual NordVPN settings on Qbittorent, and if so, is there something else that needs to be done other than the website's instructions?

NordVPN settings for Qbittorent
Re: NordVPN settings for Qbittorent
Is there any particular reason why you're attempting to manually proxy qBittorrent's connections? The VPN alone will protect your privacy. I assume that you have the NordVPN app installed on your computer? Make sure qBittorrent is bound to your VPN's network interface to prevent torrent traffic leaks. Additionally, check that the kill switch is enabled in the NordVPN app's settings. You don't need to do anything else.gft77 wrote: Mon Sep 16, 2024 7:35 pm I'm trying to set up NordVPN manual settings on Qbittoreent, and I've used the website's instructions on how to do this, but it isn't working for me. Re: NordVPN settings for Qbittorent
Sorry for the late reply. The main reason I was trying to manually set up NordVPN on Qbittorrent, is because I sometimes have issues with web browsing when using the P2P server. NordVPN has split tunneling, which will help apps ignore the VPN, but sadly it doesn't work right. I contacted NordVPN customer support about this and they confirmed the issue.
NordVPN support:
Unfortunately, split DNS functionality is not available yet with our Split Tunneling feature.
As a result, some applications that are configured to not use the VPN connection might not work.
The issue is related to Windows not being able to split the DNS requests. Even though the applications are using a non-VPN tunnel for the connection, the DNS requests are still going through the VPN tunnel for security reasons.
Our developer team is working on a solution, however, we cannot provide the exact ETA on when it may be available, as it might be misleading.
