Lament on "problems with 5.0"

Ok first off, after installing 5.0 two things were obviously off:
-No internet. Like opening qbittorent killed my internet connection. This had been sort of an issue with the last couple of updates, but instead of "killing" my whole connection, it was like a 'slow start' for qbittorrent.
So (with the last couple of updates before 5.0) once I opened browser etc etc and then qbittorrent, qbittorent didn't seem to 'connect'. internet was ok, I could browse around, speed was fine. But in qbittorrent if I searched for something, started the download, no seeds or peers appeared. If I left qbittorrent open and forgotten about it, like ok maybe its slow start, indeed, after a while the torrent apparently found seeds/peers and had downloaded the whole thing.
But now with 5.0, both seemed dead, or a slow start?
I can only confirm a slow start after changing the port number which was a weird port choice, not mine, 20xxx . Never had seen it pick a port starting with 2.
Anyway picked something else starting with 4 i think, and I got a slow start.
Got a magnet link to download something, it still pending.
But I do have internet. So far.
Obviously the other thing as others have reported is the search plugins.
Can't load them.
Did we lose Limetorrents site btw?
Anyway, i will have to dig into that, the search plugin scripts, because I tried manual downloading and saving the .txt scripts as .py, but it still can't read them. Maybe I have to remove the ones already in the list?
Windows is messed up as ever. In fact worse, its like mobile-style and desktop-style got married and had the spawn of the devil as a child.
And forget about figuring out whats what if you no longer have an internet connection. Like if you pull the ethernet cable, I wouldn't be surprised if you could no longer go to Windows Settings, coz it will get stuck trying to get some information off the web. Anyway I hope I am wrong about this re Windows, its really worrying.
Hope qbittorrent gets sorted
be well one and all
Do not bother answering this. Its a lament. Not an ask for help. People who might read this from qbittorrent might find it of use, but beyond that its just what it is: one users experience and personal interpretation
PS: I can understand that sites that we bypass with the search plugin, might have an issue with bypassing their ads/commercials/site-pop-ups, still there is no way forward in my mind unless we share. NEtflix can't stock the whole freeking database of every movie ever made. They have to be selective. A lot of the old stuff have expired copyrights anyway, so all this will get lost unless we keep them and share them between us. There has to be a way everyone is happy and get rid of the pirating issues as well. I almost subscribed to Netflix, but once I realised I am paying them for what *they* allow me to watch, I was like no. If I am getting off sharing, I need to have it replaced with something equal. I do not mind paying the 5 or 15 for Netflix. I was more worried all the torrent engines would die off and one day, I would be stuck with what is a glorified TV-station, i.e. restricted choice.
