Seeds/Peers not updating automatically, only after stopping/starting

Hi everyone!

I've come across this issue and I'm not sure if this is only happening to me nor how to solve it.

Whenever I download a freshly uploaded torrent from a torrent tracker, the seed/peer list remains the same even when the seed starts seeding and other peers join the swarms.

To put it simply, someone uploads a torrent, I'm the first or one of the first to download it (I'm not using any scripts or anything), and the seed/peer list remains the same; it doesn't update. I then take a look at the site (it's not a particular tracker at fault, I tried several) and it says, for example, 1 seed/7 peers, however in my torrent client the information about seeds/peers doesn't change until I stop the torrent and then start it again to get connected to the seeds/peers. And even so, if more peers join, I have to repeat the same process or it doesn't update the list.
Sometimes I reboot and everything goes back to normal, but after some time the issue comes back. I haven't even figured out the pattern.
For ''regular'' downloads, things seem to be working fine, however, I've uploaded a few torrents and before loading the torrent in the client there already 6 or 7 peers waiting. I then started seeding and everything seemed to be going well when I realized that the peers weren't able to finish the download. I then had to stop and start the torrent for the peers to be able to finish downloading it.

I'm using the latest version (5.0.1) and I've tried uninstalling qBitorrent completely and reinstalling it, changing the port, rebooting my Wi-Fi router, changing the DNS back to the ISP's from Google's, scanning for viruses etc. I'm not using any VPN or anything.

I don't know what else to do or what it's causing this behavior. I'd really appreciate your advice.
Thank you for reading.
