qBittorrent official forums

I have installed Qbittorrent normally with the installer and designated the the install to the D:\ folder. When I did this the configuration files and data files were automatically installed to the username folder on the C:\ drive. After using it for sometime I ran into an issue that when I restored a system backup from and earlier time the configuration files for Qbittorent were restored from that earlier time which caused an issue with all of the files that were currently being downloaded prior to the system restore.

I crested the Profile folder in the D:\Qbitorrent folder and ran Qbittorrent and a new set of configuration files were created in the Profile/Qbittorrent folder. I did merge all the folders from the backup, less the config folder and then configured QBittorrent to match the original install.

Qbittorrent is back to normal and the only possible issue is; seeing I used the installer to install QBittorent, what happens when I update QBittorent using the installer. Will any my files be overwrote or Just update using the installer and all is good?
