qBittorrent official forums

Hello folks,

We're trying to build an autonomous system for the university which will download data automatically and spread it within the university network. It will work on ubuntu server 12.04 (but we have a xfce gui and using qbittorrent through gui).

Since qbittorrent has built-in torrent tracker and we like it more than other clients, we want to use it for this system. The only problem here is we can't find an API for creating torrents automatically.

We want to create torrent files automatically by a script since it's an autonomous system. Is there a solution for this?

P.S. It may be really an easy-to-do (or dumb) question but we're struggling with it.

A lot of clients got in-built trackers. Even uTorrent got that feature.
I mean... sure you can implement the feature and submit patches, but I think it would be the best if you would just find a client that already works. (Saves time for both devs and you.)
