[SOLVED] Impossible to navigate when qbittorrent is active

Post by sirio81 »

I'm using qbittorrent on debian sqeuzze.
I set up the port forwading rules in my firewall, I limited the upload bandwidth to 20 KB/s including the tcp overhead.
It does not matter if I have one or many torrents active, there's now way to use other internet application!
I can't even use the borwser because or install software by apt-get. All traphic is blocked.
I cant even see the web page of my router!!!

I tried to compile the latest stable version (2.5.2) but it didn't change.
I chose then to test ktorrent with (almost) same setting: same upload limit, same maximun connection, port forwarding enables....
and I can surf internet without any trouble.

I'm writing not having ktorrent actvie. No way to do that with qbittorrent.

Any idea?

Sorry, I was wrong about ktorrent: it does the same.
When I was writing this post yesterday, ktorrent upload was close to 0 (the limit was 20 tough).
This morning I checked it and it was uploading at 20k an it was impossible to navigate on internet.
Do any of you have this problem?
Do you have any idea how to fix it or use a work around?

You should reduce the number of connections. Guess your router can't handle too much of them, that's why.

You were right, decreasing the number of connetion I can browse internet at the same time I'm using qbittorrent.
Thank you!
