qBittorrent not respecting share ratios

Hey all!

I am downloading a crap torrent at the moment, its going to take a month because its downloading at 10KiB/s, however it uploads sometimes at 50KiB/s, so I set the share ratio for that torrent at 1:1, and tried another time at 0:5, but all the time the torrent will be uploading 5 times more.

So I have to set a hard limit for that torrent upload at 10KiB/s, which I would rather not do because share ratio limits seem like a much better idea.

Does any one know why the share ratio limit in qBittorrent (for individual torrents via right click menu) does not have any effect?

Thank you

Joseph S

Ratio doesn't take affect until complete, until the torrent is complete it WILL upload the pieces you have unlimited (unless you set speed limit too). Now just in case you didn't know, your upload speed will affect your download speed, as in if you're only uploading 10k you may only see download 20k... I don't think this is quite an exact science, but it does affect download speed.
