qBittorrent official forums

I started using a vpn service called privateinternetaccess. Everything seemed to be working fine, torrents were getting added automatically and downloading. Recently though i started seeing less and less torrents getting added automatically. I went over to the RSS tab and saw that items were being marked read, but never downloaded. If i manually clicked on them then they would come up with an error saying the host wasn't reachable. If i turn off the vpn then double click on them they add just find then i turn back on the vpn it will continue to download.

My question is does anyone else have this problem is there a way around it?
Why do the RSS items get marked as read if it resulted in an error trying to add the torrent?
