Hello to everyone,
is it possible to readd a already downloaded torrent to qBittorrent for seeding? I got the downloaded torrent-folder in the destination-folder, the ".torrent" files and qB3.0.9.
Thank you for your help.
How to readd a downloaded torrent for seeding?
Re: How to readd a downloaded torrent for seeding?
Yes, that should be import existing torrent from the file menu. This would be the setting if you need to specify torrent file and (different) save location. When I upload torrents to a private tracker it just adds it from the downloaded torrent and then checks to make sure it's all there (default directory).
Re: How to readd a downloaded torrent for seeding?
Hi loki,
i tried it, but it doesn't work as expected. First try was to add the torrent with data in destination (completed) folder, qB checked everything and started leeching from 0. Second try was with data in the temp (not completed) folder, qB checked and startet to seed (as expected), but after shutdown and restart qB started leeching from 0 :-(
Perhaps i am missing something, perhaps qB gets confused with the structure of my folders shown below?
- "D:\Downloads\Torrent\Done" - destination (completed) torrent data
- "D:\Downloads\Torrent\Temp" - temporal (not completed) torrent data
- "D:\Downloads\Torrent\Torrent" - place to store ".torrent"-files

I would propose to disalbe temp folders. In my opinion, the functionality is currently broken. Many users have reported various problems with it.

How do I disable temp folders? Uncheck the 'keep incomplete torrents' option?
